NERAX brings British Ales to New England

40 different cask ales from the UK will be offered at this year’s New England Real Ale Exhibition in Somerville, MA. The event held at the Dilboy VFW Hall in Porter Square will ave 45 American cask ales, and 40 from the UK. This year 7 different beer and cider brewers from Wales will be represented. when you talk to Tomos Watkin next, ask them why they insist on spelling their beer in 19thC orthography (looks rather odd)! (The T.W. brewery in Llandovery lasted well into the 20thC before it collapsed, to be revived in the 90’s by Simon Buckley).
Don’t you think that using the old spelling actually recalls back to the 19th century and the beginning of the ale in Wales. Simon Buckley used the same spelling didn’t he? They bought the brewery out of receivership, or certainly close to it, after his years of owning it.
Actually, Tomos as a name is still widely in use in Wales, and I believe in Ireland…
